Desrochers, Isabelle

Her works are characterized by her curvy women, that is to say voluptuous women who love life.

Born in Québec City in 1977, she is a lifelong resident of this beautiful city which for her is a great source of inspiration. She has been sketching since her early childhood. In 1999, Isabelle discovers painting thanks to a friend. It is only around 2000 that she envisions the possibility of making a career in this field.

Since 2003, she has set herself apart in the field of decorative arts by accumulating several releases in various magazines as well as a book edition for the Inst-Art. She also shares her passion by conducting workshops pretty much everywhere in Québec and she has even had the opportunity to teach in Europe.

It is in 2012 that Isabelle takes the big leap and starts to sell her original and unique paintings. At first, people were able to discover her by social media which has been a significant springboard for her during her career. Represented permanently by two art galleries, she also temporarily displays her works in diverse galleries in Quebec and participates in various expositions. During the summer, it is also possible to view her work on the road at various symposiums. Her works are characterized by her curvy women, that is to say voluptuous women who love life.

"I love to paint full bodied women with all of their curves. To feel comfortable in one's own skin is, for me, constant motivation. My imagination is inspired daily: small pleasures, good wine and champagne, small trivial things which I can bring to light with a little humor".

Isabelle finds happiness surrounded by her brushes and tubes of acrylic paint. "When I sit at my easel in the morning, my universe is transported to my paintings......Time stops."
