Saint-Hilaire, Judith

Her paintings reveal great energy and express sentiments that vary between silence, isolation and, at times, extreme cold.

The artist, born in Sainte-Rose-de-Watford, has had a long term interest in the Visual Arts. She spent many years in larger cities before deciding to return to her summer residence in the Bellechase region.

 

She attributes her knowledge and inspiration to the Grand Masters such as Rousseau, Côté and LeBon.  She paints full time and participates in many expositions. She was, and still is, fully engaged in the promotion of fine arts.

 

Her style is very recognizable with oil and spatula being her specialities. Her paintings reveal great energy and express sentiments that vary between silence, isolation and, at times, extreme cold.

 

She is a member of l'Academie International Des Beaux-Arts du Québec having obtained the titles of ‎Académicienne and Révélation in 2011.

 

She is highly regarded by her peers as a professional artist.
