Bergeron, Benoit

As a lover of trees, nature inspires in me respect and gratitude. 

Originally from the Charlevoix Région, Benoit Bergeron was attracted at a young age by the scent of freshly cut pine. Every occasion that he had to work with wood made him happy. A few years later in college, he concentrated on design and architecture in order to perfect his technical skills. However, his passion for trees, wood and nature in general was always present. At age 24, he established a custom furniture making business which he managed for the next 30 years.

While working in his furniture business, he develops an ever increasing interest for creating wood sculptures. These are free form, free of constraints, unforeseen and not at all calculated. It is pure pleasure for him to be able to let his hands create without limits.
